it's spam...I've gotten messages from some supposed package service telling me there's a problem with the address and they can't deliver unless I contact them.

I’m constantly getting texts and voicemails about companies I have had no dealings with. It’s probably a good thing the voicemails are robot voices because a human wouldn’t like my standard response.

As others have said, ignore messages and emails from unknown people or senders from whom a message wouldn't be expected to be received. What you got didn't necessarily come from the named company but so what? If you haven't had recent matters for which a communication might be received, simply ignore it.

Blocking senders may accomplish nothing because the next communication from the same "source" will likely not show the same origin.

I get emails from UPS telling me that I have a package waiting for me to pick up. I'm tempted to email them back telling them to do their freaking job and deliver it.....naturally it's not UPS and I resist that temptation. Way too much BS out there.

Im constantly getting texts from Dor Dash saying my food was delivered. Sadly, it could be they are texting my number by mistake since it often inclueds a photo of deilvery packages of food. Ive tried to straighten it out but finally gave up and block the numbers.

A wacky text at 3 a.m. would make me furious.

Delete it, block it, junk it. Just dont open it . The spam is only going to get worse

I get the same via text saying the package is at their “warehouse.” I just laughed when the first one came, but sadly some people fall for this garbage.

Long story but this week I had an elderly friend who came close to withdrawing $24,000 in cash to give to someone who she was told would come to her door to pick it up. Luckily she didn’t follow through, but these scammers are successful with way too many people.

Funny, I received 2 texts yesterday saying it was my young cousin fundraising for her school track team - both from different numbers. Made me suspicious, so I texted her mom to ask about it - it was legit.

I got an email from Dicks that my Stanley Cup was waiting for me to pick up. It appears I won a contest I didn't enter. I delete anything that looks suspicious and I never answer my landline after looking at caller ID and block and report any suspicious texts on my phone

I received a text last night about a fraudulent charge on my Amex. I called the number on the back of my card and sure enough, the text was legit. What’s weird is that the only time I’ve used the card recently was at the post office and that was only because the employee operating the counter was being rude to people about using cash. It makes me wonder if they were operating a hidden card reader to grab card transmissions.

I would have paid for the purchase using the largest denomination bill in my wallet.

(Easy for me to have that bravado, I NEVER carry bills larger than $20. )

Airwaves/internet--doesn't matter the devise. I give my land line out 90% of the time unless its family or personal friends. The texts I get are BIZZARE!! They come in bursts--phishing is real. Anything you've heard about email pertains to phones too!

I got a message from a collection agency a few weeks ago saying that I owed a vaguely identified entity $40. and some cents.

I replied that this was news to me, please provide full details re name, places, times, reasons, etc.

A few days later, another, rather vague about creditor's name, saying please pay, they'd settle fo $8.?? less if pay within 3 days.

I replied, again asking for full particulars, saying I'd recently had a call from a lady saying that she wanted to discuss my Amazon account, and I replied that I'd never had an Amazon account.

Their most recent request that I pay the amount that I referred to earlier to Freedom Mobile Inc. and I did have an account with them several years ago but no dealings for several years and I thought our dealings were completed fully.

I'm going to reply that I asked you for full details, and all you've given me now is the name of the creditor.
