Do you mean Aesthetic White? Because Arctic White is a Kelly Moore color. Aesthetic White is a really yellow orange white.

My house is painted in Snowbound and it does not cast pink at all. Are you sure the right color paint was used?

The reason Snowbound looks pink is due to whatever lighting you have in the room, as well as the colors adjacent to it. Most of the time the color was mixed just fine, but the light source is different from house to house and from room to room, which gives rise to the unique appearance that you are experiencing.

I agree with KAndrews that painting the walls with the exact color of your cabinets will solve the problem, if you can find out that color. If not a contrasting color would be best--beige, gray, blue, green, etc.

Yes it has a pink undertone that is brought out when you place a warm white next to it.

All you had to do is go on the SW website and see what colors were paired with this white and that would have shown you the color leans pink.

Find a color that has a yellow undertone to go with the cabinets. And, remember, it’s ok. A lot of times, they can do a one-coat repaint when it’s a light neutral.

Just throwing this out there based off personal experience. Be certain that the brand of paint and finish you asked for was used and not a color match in a different paint instead. It happened to us and while the color was close, the undertones were the giveaway something else was used. When the original brand we thought we were getting was used over the builder color match, the difference was huge. Turned out the builder had a paint supplier they typically used and thought they were saving us money by using a color match instead of the original brand.

Snowbound does have red and yellow in it. Not a lot, but it's there.

It definitely looks pink on your walls. I couldn't tolerate that mis-match. I suggest painting the walls a different color that ties in with both the cabinets and what's going on in the rest of the space. kandrewspa gave good advice.

Kandrewspa, yes, I would like to paint entire house different color (eventually), we did the whole house in snowbound…but after reading all the comments now I’m wondering if it’s really the cabinets that need painting.

Anna_682….that is exactly what I thought too!!!! At first I thought it was the primer!!! I would not be surprised AT ALL if this is wrong color. This home build has been the worst experience of my life. Our builder is HORRIBLE. But how do I go about seeing if it’s wrong color, because my builder is not going to say he painted it the wrong color. Every error he has made in our home (and there have been TONS) he blames on us. He hates women, and will not even respond to any questions unless my husband asks them, and then again, he says it’s our fault. We have electrical outlets and switches in the house the are in wrong places, are crooked and don’t even match the electrical drawings. The builder said that it’s our fault because we should have inspected all the junction boxes and outlets prior to drywall. REALLY?!?!

If they are still around, look at the paint labels on the paint cans. Every color has a different mixing code. Take a photo of the paint label on the can, and take it to a SW dealer and have them check the mixing code. They can confirm if it's their mixing code for snowbound or not. And as has already been mentioned, if it's a different white base than SW it can also impact the final color. Your paint label isn't the one wrapped around the can. It's the sticker added once it's mixed that says what amounts of what color went into the mix. It's often stuck on the lid, but sometimes elsewhere.

How awful not to have your contractor be willing to communicate with you because you don't have dangly bits between your legs where the contractor apparently feels contracting and communication intelligence resides. Also a bummer that apparently having his dangly bits reading the electrical plans means they weren't done correctly, he could have used his brain there. I would suggest gifting him a hard cup to protect his contracting assets, but I feel the generousity of asset protection would go over his brain.

Have the building inspectors been out and been approving everything so far at least? Even if things aren't in the right places or might not be detailed right (not inspeciton items), I hope the work itself is up to code for you.

Get a snowbound paint chip from SW to confirm your wall color. Bring a drawer to the paint store. If there is no paint chip for Arctic White, then do a custom color match with your drawer. Mix up a quart of paint in Arctic White or the custom color (eggshell finish) and then paint the wall(s) next to your cabinets or paint a large sample board and hold it up next to your cabinets. If the cabinets are still looking dull and dingy, then address the lighting. You should be able to get it worked out with wall paint and lighting. Repaint the rest of the house as you decorate each room.
