Waiting, not so patiently, for Essence of Violet
Comments (14)I pulled up the flavorings sheet for RobinKate, but as Ken mentioned, Bickford also sells essential oils. Just truncate the web address to get yourself back to the home page and from there you can get to the oils order sheet. You can do a mixed order and shipping is still $7.95. Originally I got the cherry flavoring for a springerle recipe as a change from anise. That was an idea from House on the Hill. (Warning! Don't visit the link if you're trying to economize!) Currently they don't offer cherry but they do sell a few other Bickford flavors and oils. Another idea for many of the Bickford fruit flavors is to use them to enhance pies or other fruit desserts, jams, etc. Rose Levy Beranbaum mentions that in her "Pie and Pastry Bible." Especially in winter you may be cooking/baking with frozen fruit or imported fruit where the flavor is dulled or flat. The natural extracts can provide a real boost. The only thing I do want to mention is from my perspective Bickford flavors are more concentrated than other brands so even though they're not essential oils, I cut way back when I use them. Michelle, in a cupboard with the bottle tightly capped, I'd say these flavors should last almost indefinitely. Either the orange extract or orange oil should help you in your orange cupcake "mission." (Suet and spun sugar - Ugh.) And now that I think of it, have you checked out KAF's orange powder for your cupcakes? They also sell lemon and lime powders. King Arthur Flour Company Orange Powder. Comments (22)larrylwill, I found Garden Web a little over three years ago because of a larger contractor problem with cabinets that ended up in court. It was nasty. It was costly. It was a time robber. I have been 'almost done' for months. I kept thinking I'd be done before school started back...or before school got out, or before my anniversary, etcetera, etcetera. This forum was such an encouragement and support on those nights when I just could not sleep. I don't know how those people in this life can go around screwing others out of their hard earned money can sleep, but they do. I know the government can, but I mean, individuals that you deal with one on one. You chose them for their talents and skills and they perform for a fee. When they do not perform, but show up, they still believe they command full payment. It's just not right. This business of being in business is not fair or regulated fairly by our courts. I'd much rather the press be free and fair like it should be without fear of true consequences when we are swindled, we can say we were swindled. When we are presented with a bait and switch scheme, then we can say just that without fear of another ongoing court battle about subjective subject matter in the eyes of the court. What is black and white in my eyes are purple polka dots in the courts eyes. When my contract is clear and precise, how can a court deem it clear as mud? I do not get it. There is too much politics in justice and too many idiots on benches. If you have the skills, buy the trim and finish it yourself. Don't pay another cent to anyone but yourself. Comments (23)Dave gives good advice! Move it slowly into the sun. It will probably double in size. Mine always did outside. When I had to bring it inside, there are things to expect but we can cross that bridge when we get there. Never had scale on ficus indoors, wouldn't worry about it unless you see signs. good luck! jane...See MoreHow to be patient while waiting for an offer?
Comments (23)gra8fulgal, I don't know how I missed your answer to my original questions. I see that you have changed your Realtor, which is a good thing given the answers you provided. Every agent works differently. Some are much more diligent/detailed/creative than the others. Sounds like you have found a much better fit for your property. To answer your unasked question: Zillow pulls directly from the MLS. So do some of the other services like Realtor.com, trulia and other websites. So if the listing agent has put in the same photos multiple times in the MLS, that is exactly what shows in Zillow and the other websites. That happens to be one of my pet peeves. When bringing out a professional photographer they shoot many, many photos IME. 100 shots is not unusual. We, as Realtors, don't get all the 100 photos but the best 35 to 40 or so that have been edited by the photographer. My personal POV is show the best 35-40 shots or even a few more but don't duplicate photos. Check with your new agent. She should be able to go back to the photographer and get additional photos so the property and house can be showcased effectively without duplicates. That section you refer to in Zillow is physically filled out by the listing agent after it is uploaded to Zillow. I like to have the seller mention their key points in their own words so it looks like the people that live there and love it have added to the listing. This should be done now. Your new agent can do it with your thoughts. One more idea: when there is a property that is tough to price, it is a very good idea to bring in an appraiser that is familiar with your area. The more complex your property, the more important it is to have an appraisal done up front. Complex can mean several things, including lack of recent comparable sales....See Moredebbym, Tempe, AZ Zone 9
