Pink Rose - ID please

Hello everyone, This rose was purchased at Doans Nursery in Irving, called as 'Indian' Rose ( Rose Edouard) last season. It grew well but did not flower. This spring it budded well and flowered and is indeed very fragrant and is the rose fragrance. The flower buds ball in wet weather, the leaves have the wonderful peppery smell of old roses such as Maggie; it seems to be a once bloomer, I may be wrong, but will keep up updated. with this information, is it possible to narrow a few names for this rose. or is it Rose Edouard. Thanks.

1) Why do you think it is a once bloomer? The months ahead will tell if it is or not.

2) Why do you think it might NOT be Rose Edouard?

I am probably wrong, but it reminds me of Kordes Perfecta as it will have those quilled petals (the pointy ones.) Is it fragrant? And can you add where you are to your user name? It makes it easier when we know your location. I bought a rose at Lowe's several years ago that was labeled Honey Bouquet, but the blooms were pink so I knew it was wrong. It was actually Aloha CL.

Sorry, I have no idea, but the round leaves should help in identifying it. I also would suggest posting this question on the general rose forum. It is a really drop-dead gorgeous rose.

It looks like RE to me, too. Like Jackie, I am curious about why you think it might be something else. If it helps to know, my remontant Bourbons took awhile to develop reblooming habits. A few years for Zepherine Drouhin. Then several flushes. Carol

I do not know actually. It could be RE or not, just clarifying. I have another plant which was given to me by a friend claiming to be Rose Edouard.. I noticed that that the buds did not ball in wet weather , it is a continuous bloomer and the blooms are smaller and have less petals but same great fragrance.
