We are changing our door with leaded oval glass and side lights to a large rectangle of reeded glass in the door and sidelights to match. I want to paint the door black. The windows in the house are white with black shutters. My quandry is how to do the sidelights and trim. Has anyone painted everything black with a white trim on the outer edge? I've seen ones with 1)white sidelights and trim and just the door black, 2)everything black or 3)doors & sidelights black with white trim on the boards in between the doors and sidelights. What I would like to see is door, sidelights and inner trim all a dark color with white framing the whole unit. Can't quite visualize it. I have to see it to make up my mind. Ideas??? Help?? Thanks!
