I don't think the Hopsack is so dark of a color that it wouldn't work well with the sculpture. Today at Dillards I saw a table scape that I thought was gorgeous and never would think of putting the colors together...the beige tone of your sofa with a soft gray...it didn't have the blueish gray tone mentioned above but was more of a true gray...I can see where yayagal is coming from with her suggestion.

I haven't been to see him. He hasn't wanted any visitors for some time. Another one of my neices went to see him anyway today and she said he got in a wheelchair and they got him outside for the first time in a month and a half. He had a beer and a cigarette! I guess he wants to go out enjoying what he enjoys! I was really surprised to hear that he got up at all. My sister had sent me the wedding pictures and it really bothered me to see them, but I was glad to have them at the same time. It just disturbed me to see him so lifeless in bed like that. Ihad such mixed emnotions about the pictures...but happy to have them. She didn't think he'd last through that first week home. He is very strong willed, always has been. Maybe this is his last fight and he is going to give it all he's got.

My DS was 6-7 and home from school sick in bed. We had a snow and everything was covered and freezing cold outside. DS called me into the bedroom and told me to look out at the bird on the telephone wire. The poor thing looked like he was frozen to the wire, but apparently not because after a while as we watched, he appeared to fall to the ground. DS asked me to go see what was wrong with the bird. So of course I bundled up, put on boots and gloves and went out on rescue. I brought the bird in and we could see that he had a grain of corn stuck in his throat. I managed to dislodge it and he was then ready to go. I let him out the door and he flew away. I've forgotten many of the things DS did to aggravate me, but I still remember that day when he had to know that one bird was helped. He is still like that, very caring. Sue
