Dessert for a crowd?

loves2cook4six

I cook for a mens shelter but usually do the entree and I've got that down.

This week they've asked me to make dessert. And me, the queen of the dessert table, does not know what to make for a bunch of hungry men.

Dessert tables are fancy expensive looking deals.

These guys are just plain looking for comfort food that warms their bellies and their hearts.

Any suggestions?

The food is made ahead either the day before or the morning of and served out of disposable foil containers. There is a refrigerator and a range with convection ovens at the church although the volunteers who serve the food do not like cooking/baking it. Reheating is OK.

I'm thinking bread pudding. Anyone have any other good ideas.
