why is one song so big?

I downloaded the Beatles song 'When I'm sixty-four'. I used iTunes. It took forever. It was 2,430KB. All my other songs-about 12- are much, much less. I checked it with spybot and it came up ok. Is that normal? Doesn't that take alot of room in the mp3?\If it is too big- should I delete it and download(upload?) another 'When I'm sixty-four? There were several- not all by the Beatles, but several artists.

No that's probably right every file varies in size.

So I guess ITunes is working now you were having trouble in your other post?

That's about right for that song in 128 Bitrate, if it was 184 Bitrate it would be around 3,525KB and 6.343KB with 320 Bitrate.
Like zep says they are varied, also depending on the tag properties where it could have title, artist, album, year, genre and even a small album photo called album art.

You can right click the mp3 icon, then properties, where you can edit the info included.

You must have dial-up.
Roughly 2,430KB is around 2.43MB
Wait till you get into DVD movies, over 4-7GB each.

Although it seems a tangent, bear with me: I recently purchased a stick blender for my mother's birthday, the one I gave her years ago having bitten the proverbial dust. I started research on Amazon, only to find similar sorts of problems with this small appliance as those outlined in the original post here, i.e. so many brands either got glowing reviews or horror stories for the very same product. Quality seemed to be a roll of the dice, no matter how much you paid. I finally chose a popular brand, knowing that the blender could suddenly tank, but also knowing that reviewers said the customer service was outstanding. So, if we're left with mediocrity from the more accessible electric wall oven brands (like Bosh or Electrolux vs the costy Wolf), which have been most responsive when people have had a problem? Kitchenaid seems to have failed roundly in this respect over the past few years, so even if they've solved their problems, they aren't the brand for me. Comments from the trenches?

So, so, so close...now I need help with the last big decision

divamum, it was crazy fast, once it finally got rolling! I sat with a big empty box of a room for about three weeks waiting for the cabinet guy. But once he started installing, that meant Joshua could come put in my soapstone, and everything else just fell into place very quickly. I went from NOTHING to almost everything in literally 48 hours. I think that, by the end of this week, I'll be done with everything in the kitchen, except of course the backsplash! :) malhgold, the range is an Aga Legacy--and the gas is finally turned on!! Woohooo!! Wouldn't you know it, though, I have to teach tonight and then I'm going out of town for two days, so I won't be able to actually cook on it until Friday. Ugh!! fern4, the wood is cherry in a natural finish. Thanks so much for the McIntyre link. There are some beautiful options there. I will have to spend some time perusing! plllog, one of my first choices was a pale green glass tile with a little cobalt glass thrown in for accent pieces. I may have to revisit that. If I can find the pics again, I'll post them. I'm loving these suggestions. Sometimes my head gets stuck on one thing and, even though I know it's not what I want, I can't move past it. This is really helping me think outside my self-imposed box.

I have a drawer full of various oven mitts and I keep going back to the old ones that I have had for years that have holes in them and the stuffing is coming out and every time I run them through the wash there is less of them left but they fit better than any others. There are a couple other types that I would like to try. The Amazing Heat Resistant Silicone Kitchen and BBQ Gloves I tried on the mitt type like this but they are just way too bulky. I have never seen the glove type in stores to try on. Grill Gloves Extra-long cuff Jasdip I had one of those long ones years ago it finally wore out and apparently I got rid of it. They work pretty well for some things. In case anyone wants to attempt to make one here is a neat little tutorial pretty easy too. Hi Sara-Ann I agree with the prevailing opinions - even in dry colder Nebraska, Earth song gets big for me. It's in the back of a large bed at 5' by 4' on a good year, bushy and continually blooming. It holds the foundation spot underneath a trellis arch just behind it, and it fills the space in front of the trellis pretty well with just 2 feet or so visual space to the top of the trellis. It's a keeper for sure. I also heartily endorse both Roses Unlimited and Burlington as sources for roses. Also, with RU you can always drop Pat an email to check about availability of roses you want and she's pretty prompt at getting back to you with up-to-date information. Same with Burling, who also doesn't maintain web lists of whether a particular rose is in stock at any given time. Cynthia

this is why I never ever tried to get music or video when I was on dial up it just is not worth it.
Now with fios I hit the download button and it is finished downloading it before I can tell it where I want to store the file! Fios rules!

No- I am on satellite. I still couldn't get on iTunes- we downloaded from a friends cmputer.
There is also Spiralfrog- they are paid for by advertizement. It might be me, cause I am not very good yet, but it seems that they have 'newer' music. I couldn't find Van Ross.

Hey anybody in New York? There is a 'free' store- just opened and will only be open for a few weeks- anything from cd's, dvd's- everything is donated. (not just music stuff- absolutely everything- it was on the news)
