Comments (7)Practigal, the DW is one cabinet "south" away from the sink. I have no idea why there is a cabinet between but it's there, marked DW. It's possible the microwave is part of the DO stack. Rascal, do you plan a prep sink in the island? It would make your space more functional and give you a separate prep zone. This way you could have someone prepping, someone else cooking, someone else doing dishes, and someone else baking at the same time and they are all in their own zone. Without a prep sink, people would need to constantly walk over to the sink which adds unnecessary steps to prepping/cooking. And the DW should be right next to the sink....See MoreKitchen designers...I need your help with a refrigerator please!
Comments (6)Do you mean panel ready - i.e. one that would use the style of your cabinet doors? If so, both Jennair and Kitchenaid make a French Door model that is panel ready for about $3000 give or take. The cost is obviously more since you need to also purchase the panels from your cabinet supplier as well as door handles for some reason. They are also 72" high so they look more built in than other refrigerators which are shorter - I believe 69" is the normal height. If the reason you want a quiet front design, is because of the SS, then perhaps a panel ready would fill the bill. I have no real input on F&P except that when I was looking at refrigerators, the salesperson said to avoid because the service network wasn't stellar. That may or may not be a factor in your area....See MorePlease help with designing our galley kitchen!! Designers help!
Comments (15)If teal isn’t doing it for you that blue color is really pretty too and still would look gray with brass and the grey floor tile! I found a few good options on amazon for the hardware by searching brass square pulls and also these on way fair: https://www.wayfair.com/Hamilton-Bowes--Ventoux-5-Center-Bar-Pull-24128SB-24128SCOP-L1123-K~HMBW1035.html?refid=GX293766718941-HMBW1035_40348394&device=m&ptid=762818256643&network=g&targetid=pla-762818256643&channel=GooglePLA&ireid=83020192&fdid=1817&PiID[]=40348394&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIsbjP3fmW5AIVgrfsCh1oWwbcEAQYDSABEgIS_PD_BwE Here is a link to a similar light fixture! https://www.bellacor.com/productdetail/elegant-lighting-ld6042br-eclipse-brass-and-frosted-white-12-inch-one-light-pendant-2116486.htm?partid=googlePLA-DataFeed-Pendants-2116486&kpid=2116486&utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=Shopping_-All_Products(NEW)&utm_term=&utm_content=multi-converters_(2-5)&gclsrc=aw.ds&&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIv_64qPqW5AIVFKrsCh0HGQGgEAQYCCABEgJyK_D_BwE I think the subway tile will look classic and gives you more leeway to get a countertop that can be the star! If you picked the geometric backsplash I would say go for simple very toned down counters....See MoreKitchen Design/Floorplan Impass-Please help, we need a better layout
Comments (19)The island in there was based on a ref 35" deep to the door front including an air gap. That would leave 48" to that corner of the island ( based on the island top being 29 1/2 deep ). Here is the basics of how I imagined the island If you have the 2 end panels plain, then you can cut them to a different depth if you want to add an inch or 2 to the island. Personally I would not any more to the island - maybe an inch? Keep in mind, those dimensions I put on the picture are to the countertop edge - do not place your cabinets to that. All that calculating and conversation needs to be done with your designer and your contractor and is to be based on actual room dimensions. I can't wait to see it!!...See Moreacm
