if you were a teenage girl which would you rather?
Comments (15)Odd man out here...From my experience... I'd prefer the cup. Granted I'm not sure of your instructions... but if I recall correctly, with the sticks there are some precautions...like don't let the urine splash up on the stick past a certain point, don't over saturate, but pee directly on for 5 seconds (what if your stream changes?),etc... You also may have to worry about the stick hitting toilet water without even knowing it and maybe deluting the results. And, I wouldn't doubt sometimes enough urine may not even hit the stick. I would just think the cup may be more precise and accurate. If there are no precautions, then the stick may be easier, but if there are and you need accuracy, I would suggest the cup....See MoreWhat would you rather have in Master Bathroom...
Comments (53)>>a house needs a tub unless it is in a retirement community and even then, if there is more than one bathroom, it should have a tub>> Hmmmm....maybe, maybe not. I'm 65 and like the majority of my friends, prefer showers. When we remodeled our MBa it has a custom shower and a double vanity, plus a matching 6' tall linen closet. Plus an alcove with another 3-drawer cabinet in that. I'm a firm believer in lots of storage, LOL. My MIL loved baths, hated showers. When she moved to a nearby retirement facility, she had a choice - shower or bath, both with attendant. Eventually she gave up bathing for the walk-in shower, saying it was easier and faster. One reason she moved: she was terrified of falling in the bathroom during her bath, when she lived with us. We thought about putting in one of those walk-in tubs, but she did use them at the senior facility instead before she switched to the shower. It's a reasonable alternative, but forget trying to wash a dog in them [smile]. They're pretty tight-fitting inside, with the built-in seat taking up a lot of interior volume. I can tell you that when I broke my leg at age 54 (I was out gardening and fell on concrete stairs), it was IMPOSSIBLE to lift the cast high enough to step over the (rather short height) tub-shower on the main floor, at first. It was almost 5 weeks before I could do it, wrapping the cast in a plastic bag. That tub is only 16" high at the rim - but it could have been a mile high as far as trying to get into it, when disabled. My vote is double vanity, linen cabinet, shower (3x5 is ideal and I wish we had that). Add in safety bars and a good vent fan, too....See MoreWould you rather...
Comments (26)I prefer option a. I would change the entrance to the powder to not be in the mud room, and move the wall where the closet is so it's 4' from the dining wall. looks like it's 8 now. If you can, shift the entire addition so the left wall lines up with the farthest outside wall on the left, which will give you more space in your family room to put furniture. maybe then the path to the back of the house will be a little more direct. consider a built in banquette in the corner if you want an eat in table. I like the butler's pantry and pantry, but I think you could sacrifice a few feet in your kitchen if you wanted to make your dining room bigger. just check your table size. if you don't use the dining room much, it's probably not worth it....See MoreWhich would you rather have?
Comments (62)What I would really like is a Yeona's helper. I enjoy cooking but would like a sous chef to help me. I enjoy a gardening but sometimes I need an extra pair of hands and digging doesn't always go well when I do it. Cleaning goes much more quickly and is wonderful when you're conversing with someone so I would love someone to help with that too. I would love someone to divide up with to do the grocery shopping. Plus have someone to walk the dogs with. I would love someone to help me clean my kitchen every night. I want to do all these things but I always think oh I wish I had someone with me to make it go quicker and be more interesting. Of course there's no such thing....See MoreLars
