Favorite new (or any) TV shows
Comments (41)Mystery! is my favorite, but isn't on as regularly as it used to be-alas. I also like NCIS, the original Law and Order (even with all the cast changes-really like the new Prosecutor), and Law and Order Criminal Intent. I like The Closer, but can never remember when it's on and there are a lot of 10 pm shows I would probably like, but I go to bed early (school starts early, don'tchaknow). House Hunters and HH International are fun, too. We actually know some people who were on House Hunters. Such a disappointment-they had already bought their house and the other two houses were just filmed for the show. Not sure if they are all like that, but this one was not entirely honest. Too bad....See MoreMoment of Truth (New tv show tonight)
Comments (24)Count me among the unimpressed. I see a cancellation in this show's not too distant future. But speaking of gameshows - anyone watch the PBS Pioneers of Television installment last night - on Gameshows? It was a real trip down memory lane and worth the watch. Even though it wasn't a complete history, it was very interesting to hear the old hosts, etc. talk about the audience, both in studio and at home, as well as what made a great host, which in some cases they still don't have down pat. And while they did touch on the scandals, it wasn't the focus....See MoreWill you watch Katherine Heigl's new TV show?
Comments (6)I must have heard only the good things about her. She's close to her family, and, with her husband, adopted a baby girl from Korea, where her own adopted sister was born. I believe the baby had a heart defect, which was treated after the adoption. I forget the baby's name, but it's unusual because it's a combination of Heigl's mother and sister. She and her husband adopted another baby as well. Plus she is a strong advocate for animals, which I greatly appreciate. Alfre Woodard is also in "State of Affairs;" I like her too. Yes, I'll watch--if I remember. I'm famous for forgetting to watch the beginning, or (more likely) watching the first couple of episodes and then forgetting. ;-)...See MoreI'm not, are you?
Comments (39)I did! Regardless of how she is, if she doesn't talk much and just entertain, she's pretty good. Since this is a "variety" show, I watched it. There were many other stars that appeared in the 1-hour show. It wasn't bad but it wasn't as good as the old Variety shows such as Donny & Marie, Dolly Parton, Bob Hope, Dinah Shore, The Carpenter, Hee-Haw, Tony Orlando & Dawn, Carol Burnett, etc. I'm not into gay/lesbian stuff neither but one of my favorite entertainer is Ellen Degeneres. I like how most of the time (like 90%), she keeps her personal life from her talk show. Even if I don't like the gay/lesbian thingy, I don't see it much from her show and I enjoy her sense of humor. That's what I call an Entertainer....See More- 5 years ago
