There’s nothing quite like a good movie or television show for an escape from everyday life. Often, the storyline and characters are what we find captivating. But it also can be fun to admire the homes. As you relax over the holidays, we want to hear: What big- and small-screen homes inspire you most?

Is your favorite home a castle? There’s no reason we can’t admire glamorous homes we’d never live in. In the Masterpiece series Downton Abbey on PBS, the important role of Downton Abbey — the building — was played by Highclere Castle, in England. Is it your favorite fictional home?

When she realizes that her husband is cheating on her, she goes through a divorce, then loses her house to her ex-husband and his pregnant partner. But this is only the beginning in the classic starting-over tale.
