I would absolutely not use white oak and would seriously question the taste of any designer suggesting it with your cabinets. Is this to be a more formal table or where you will eat meals every day? If it's everyday, you can go with a rustic scrubbed pine, or even a Saarinen white tulip table.

Walnut is great if you aren't concerned that the first glass ring will ruin it.

I'm not going to lie, I'm not a fan of your cabinets or your flooring or those two things together. But having said that ... I would not do a white or white wood dining table and chairs. I would probably end up doing a dining table that pulled from the same color as the cabinets with corresponding but not matching upholstered chairs.

I love walnut cabinets but IMO the floor and the cabinets do not work together. Walnut cabinets IMO should be slab doors to show off the wood the handles do not work with them either. As for a table I can’t tell your style at all . Your designer needs to give their head a shake to tell you to introduce more confusion with wood. If you are trying for a sort of comtemporay look I would do a Saarinen table in white with some chairs with walnut chairs

I'm not bothered by the color of your floor - I assume it's the same throughout the house. A darker floor would have made your kitchen very dark.

Yes, you can use a walnut table, but it will show ring marks. I'd stick with a white Saarinen table with walnut chairs.

I like your floors with the kitchen. I have a very dirty 10 year old boy and white leather chairs. They get dirty but cleaning is very easy.

I love walnut too, tho I tend to think it’ll be over kill with a walnut table. I’d go with a Saarinen white marble table, looks so good with walnut.

My old house had walnut cabinets and natural white oak floors. I paired it with a Canadel table in a dark warm gray finish called Davy’s Gray.

Definitely - the marble is coated. Or the plain white is acrylic. Very durable/solid table.

(I could also see a grey stone or cement table working well with your white/walnut kitchen.)

To me - the white oak may not work as well - but wouldn't be terrible - because your floors are white oak and it may just blend in too much.

White + walnut is a great look - and the white marble would give you white while differentiating itself a bit from your counters...

I’d check out room and board for rectangular tables you can customize with white marble or grey stone tops. Or crate and barrel.

I had a white Parson's table made over 40 years ago by Storehouse, but they have been out of business for years. It is 3 x 6 feet and clad with white matte Formica. It seats 4 or 6 and over the years I have had blonde wood and cane Breuer chairs, walnut Queen Anne-styled high back chairs, Mexican painted chairs with rush seats and some light wood short-backed chairs at the moment. I am thinking about some kind of black chairs for a change. The white tulip Saarinen table would be just as versatile.

I was going to suggest something similar, but the price was too low and the materials were not clearly described. I think this one works well. It's not too modern, just like your kitchen

I like that table. I’d have them send you some stone/quartz samples if possible or go look in person. Their stones can look a little different in person.
