I will go crazy. What paint to match my brick?
Comments (51)Thanks everyone for the ideas! We have decided on paint colors. Urbane Bronze and Revere Pewter. I was just updating on what we have accomplished so far :) Lascatx...ha we did put another arb to the left of the the door. We know it grows well there, and we are kind of modeling it after our neighbors, who keep theirs pruned and they are smaller. The previous one was never pruned by the owners :( so it was very wild. I did just finish reshaping the beds. It might be hard to see, but I have both sides curving out by the sidewalk, and then some curves going around to the side of the house on the right side. It was hard work!! I would LOVE a cottage garden, but with children under 5, I will be doing low maintenance for the foreseeable future. I think I may add some potted flowers here and there. I will update when we get more accomplished! Im happy with what we have done so far, but sometimes the middle stage looks so sloppy and unfinished. We'll keep on trucking! :):):)...See MoreBrown hazelnut cabinets and brown brick - help choosing flooring & pt
Comments (9)well, that's baloney. if the cabinets are prepped/primed and painted properly, they should last just as long as factory painted. I'm having mine sprayed with a pre-cat lacquer. does your quote mention how they prep and paint? if you want to reface, that's a great option as well. I would NOT go w/home depot or lowes because they gouge you w/the prices. contact a local cabinet maker and refinisher if doing that. have you thought about doing a tile floor? something large like 24x24 or 30x30 tiles? basalt would look great. its a deep charcoal or a porcelain but, they do have some decent looking laminate. this is Coretec. or polish your cement slab and of course Fla is famous for those terrazzo tiles as for the brick, I think it depends what else you will be doing w/the kitchen. if painting them white, and doing the floor in something lighter, then I think you could do a lime wash on your brick and paint those cabinets next to it. (you could do a diff color on those instead of the white) look at Romabio for your brick...See MoreHelp please! Dated brown brick with white trim
Comments (23)Blue contemporary door could be nice. I darkened the brown roof a bit & fluffed up the landscaping. [I disagree with Maria Killiam about brown roofs, btw. They look great here in the woods & rocky outcroppings of the U.S. Northeast, blending in better with nature than a heavy black, tarry asphalt roof.]...See MoreNeed help matching exterior paint color to tan/brown roof
Comments (5)What do you mean by “pop?” I like the existing color of the house, but would definitely lose the turquoise accents. That isn’t the kind of “pop” that I would like. I suggest that the “pop” come in the form of landscaping design. Colorful foliage, planter boxes (perhaps in turquoise), beautiful trees, etc. Bring in a landscape designer. That is where you will get the best bang for your buck. And “pop!”...See Moresuezbell
