Need help matching exterior paint color to tan/brown roof

We recently bought & renovated this home. It hasn’t had a fresh coat of exterior paint for many, many years. Our new front door is black w/wrought iron in between tempered glass. We live on wooded acreage in central, FL and want our exterior to pop! What do you suggest?

A green/gray would look great with your roof and white trimmed windows. New black front door is perfect.

What do you mean by “pop?” I like the existing color of the house, but would definitely lose the turquoise accents. That isn’t the kind of “pop” that I would like. I suggest that the “pop” come in the form of landscaping design. Colorful foliage, planter boxes (perhaps in turquoise), beautiful trees, etc. Bring in a landscape designer. That is where you will get the best bang for your buck. And “pop!”

I’d reverse the color scheme. Light trim and eaves. Add some trim to the bottom windows. And if you aren’t afraid of color, I’d pop the front door with maybe something in the coral/pink to orange range.

Hi Patricia, thanks for asking. Sorry for a chaotic picture, I will take a better one tomorrow. All the metal zinc you see is just put in place to protect my palm trees during the building of the block wall. If you are referring to the metal grill at the entry to the house, that is how every house is where we live for security purposes. Don't worry about that blocking the house, we are just focusing on the exterior wall for now. The house itself is NOT getting painted yet, we are just redoing our perimeter wall (block finished with a textured cement stucco) and adding a sliding gate. The top of the new wall will have the decorative wood slats on top.

For the trim color I like the lighter one better. Seems to work with the brick more. Personally I don't think the green works with your house, but that's just me. I would probably look more towards a taupe on the siding. Regardless, once you've removed the shutters don't reinstall them. They are much too narrow to work with the windows. I would also paint the garage door the same color as the siding. I would not paint the brick. You take a no maintenance product and turn it into a long term maintenance issue. IMO lose the shutters they really are not needed then you have free rein as to color I happen to like what you have so maybe a bit more info as to the need to change colors.

Thank you! Agree on the turquoise and landscaping. Still need to pick a new paint color for the house. What would you suggest that’s not turquoise?

JudyG’s suggestion looks nice...and then I would go with darker banding that coordinates with that. Keep it in the same color family, but more intense.
