there's always harry potter...kids are bit more mature about movies these days..wonder if any of the older star wars or Indiana jones would be appealing? saw a movie last week on showtime? it was called Moonrise Kingdom....about a little boy who runs away (on an island with a "girlfriend"...it was a bit quirky but charming...

I'm so glad that you watched and enjoyed it. I thought it to be pretty special. I watched another good one last night...Philomena with Judi Dench. This is based on a true story about a young Irish girl who is 'sent to the nuns' when she becomes pregnant. The girls have their babies, and are forced to work (toil) under poor conditions, only to have their babies sold to rich customers, often from America. Judi portrays the girl when she is elderly and has an opportunity to go to America to search for her lost son. As usual, Judi is riveting in this film. The range of emotions that move across her face......very remarkable. Look for it on Netflix.

We finished watching Timeless yesterday and started watching Black MIrror. When the second episode started and it was 100% different from the first, I googled. It's more like a modern day version of The Twilight Zone. We've watched the first three episodes which were all really good. I see that it is also filmed all over the place. The one episode being filmed in Iceland. Jody Foster directed the second episode. I only started watching it because my sister said she was so my curiosity got the better of me. We were going to watch the new X-Files.

Thank you for the recommendation, nekotish. We just watched it and enjoyed it. The song “What do you do with a drunken sailor” was on, believe it or not, a children’s tape we used to play in the car. Kind of fun to sing along with a two-year-old! He grew up to be neither a drinker nor a sailor.
