Netflix suggestions needed, please!

This week we're babysitting two of our grandsons, ages 9 and 12. Does anyone have recommendations for good (and appropriate!) Netflix movies for boys this age?

Ask them for a list of movies that they love. Kids that age will watch the same movies over and over again.

mailynn, Here's a link that might be helpful-- I think the brown in the family room area is BM Cabot Trail (though it may not look too much different than the kitchen color in the pics). I think it's gorgeous!!! http://ths.gardenweb.com/forums/load/kitchbath/msg0318593419284.html You might also try BM Alexandria Beige or BM Davenport Tan. Hope that helps!

Not Netflix, but a new DVD that my DH brought home from the library: "Many Saints of Newark". It's a look at Tony Soprano as a kid, growing up in his mob family. We watched the first half yesterday and will finish it today. Michael GAndolfini plays young Tony, the character that made his late father, James, famous in "The Sopranos". It's harsh, violent and crude, as you'd expect, and more so due to the timing -- the eruption of race riots in Newark. Adding: Don't skip the credits or you'll miss hearing the beautiful song, "Calling All Angels". (I don't care much for the lyrics, but it's a beautiful sentiment and melody, and is beautifully sung.)

@Niki Nouri your sample is Swiss Coffee from which brand? Several paint companies have a Swiss Coffee and they’re all different colors. I agree with the above comment; you aren’t going to be able to get an accurate representation of the color looking at it directly on that wall. You’d be better off getting some Sampilize sheets and looking at them on a more neutral background or painting large sheets of art paper and leaving some white boarder out.

Suggest a mid-range, warm shade that complements the carpet and drapes, setting the stage for the cozy/natural/medium density feel you are after. Look on line for inspiration rooms that resonate, narrow down a color family, purchase a few test pots and compare at different times of the day. Also note the accessories and bedding in your favorite rooms, as having the big picture in mind will make decorating much easier.

I set up my Netflix with a profile for my grandson. There is an option to let Netflix know he's under 12. Okay, so he is 7 months old today.... ;) But it shows only age appropriate movies for children 12 and under and the stuff they watch doesn't interfere with what Netflix thinks you will like on your profile.

there's always harry potter...kids are bit more mature about movies these days..wonder if any of the older star wars or Indiana jones would be appealing?

saw a movie last week on showtime? it was called Moonrise Kingdom....about a little boy who runs away (on an island with a "girlfriend"...it was a bit quirky but charming...

The Goonies

My neighbor watched BlackFish with her grandkids (7-10) this weekend. It is a documentary about the whales at Sea World. They all liked it.

Frozen
Happy Feet
The Santlot
