Can you help me placing these paint colors please...floor plan?
Comments (5)My MIL has a similar layout as your family/kitchen/dining areas and she has her kitchen/dining all the same colors, since they're really not huge rooms it looks better than 2 different colors in there. Then her family room is a shade or two lighter likely on the same swatch but I don't konw for sure. They both happen to be green. I don't know the colors you speak of specifically, I'm not to that point yet, but I think I'd be tempted to make the dining nook area the same color as the kitchen, and then go from there but make the family room a complimentary color since they're so open to each other....See MoreHelp me please! Comments (12)i don't see much difference in either the dover or creamy, so either would work. your other samples need to be placed like the second picture. i would be sure to pick a warm white, since to me your counter reads warm if you have a scrap piece of counter, bring it to the paint store and they should be able to match it or get very close....See MoreCan you help me choose a trim color for my newly painted house?

Comments (14)I have a north facing living room. A decorator said I should paint it with a warm color to balance the cool north light. I did… And now it always looks dirty because of the light. I think it's very bad advice to try to "warm things up" with wall paint. I am going with cool blue grey walls next, because that's the color I get anyway. And I will "warm things up" in other ways like cordovan leather seating and a fake polar bear throw. If you hate painting, are you saying you want a neutral color wall paint? So a cool white is your best bet with a pale purple to blue grey next. Get some paper samples from whatever brand is most available near you. Hang those on different walls to choose what looks best on most walls at all times of day. I LOVE your view, your ceiling, and your windows....See Moremaries1120
