Good Morning on Saturday!
Comments (11)I had a busy morning for a Saturday. Georgysmom made me feel guilty posting everything she accomplished yesterday ;0 I scrubbed and baked those 3 huge baking potatoes I got at the store for .83 and when they cool, I'll make twice baked potatoes and freeze all but one, which we'll have tonight. Did two loads of laundry and changed our sheets. Then I took everything out of my spice/baking cabinet and washed all the shelves and--now get this--arranged all my spices in alphabetical order. Isn't that OCD? I bought a thing called a Spice Stack. It is a metal box with 3 shelves that pull out and down so you can see the spices. Each shelf holds 9 jars, or double the amount of those little jars. It's really cool. So no more rummaging around and taking 15 jars out just to find the one I'm looking for. I was surprised I only had doubles of 3 spices. That was pretty nice so I cleaned the pantry, too. Oh, Phyllis, I wish you hadn't mentioned the "G" word (garage). Ours is a disaster. Marie-ndcal, did you flood again? Didn't you have bad flooding this spring, too? Bless your heart, you have every right to feel bad, but wish you felt better....See MoreWhat Have You Been Doing Lately?
Comments (20)All the industry and activity here make me ashamed. I'm researching which Medicare Part D plan will be best for DH. I think I'll stick with my current insurer rather than hassle with changing; wouldn't save much. That insurer's premiums went up a third, but their charges for my meds went down. Our experience with changing insurers has been terrible. We're also staying with our BC/BS Medigap policies after talking it over with the insurance exchange rep. We must go through the exchange to get HRA funding from DH's former employer. Those funds should take care of the Medigap premiums and a good part of our Part B premiums. There will still be a big chunk going to the Part D insurers and for DH's two expensive meds. (I feel fortunate to have *any* help from a former employer in this day and age.) We're to have a low of 6F tonight, then a couple 'normal' days before plunging back into this 20 degrees below normal cold. I wish we could see a little video of the 'chicken chase' back to the hen house! Marilyn Sue -- Amber and Alyssa are fortunate to have loving family around them during this hard time. I can't forgive my father for *choosing* another life, leaving us when I was a toddler. My DH lost his father as a child, too, but his father died of a coronary; it wasn't a deliberate choice. Amber isn't the first woman to think her love would/could change a man!...See MoreGood Morning on Thursday the 10th
Comments (9)It has been a heckuva week, cannot wait till next week. My boss gets married Saturday so we are heading to DC on Friday and we were busy today. Had a manicure at 8, got home and hit the ground running. My travel work was crazy and so was my 'real' job! LOL!! Last minute work getting the band (they are from L.A.) set up, finalizing the rehearsal and out of town guest party for Friday night, the Sunday brunch......and trying to get the actual work for the office done..... It's no wonder that I've been starting at 7 each morning and finishing up at 9 at night....See MoreWhat Have You Been Doing Lately?
