I had a rosemary bush in England. I'd use shoots as skewers for shishkebabs/shashlik. Delicious with lamb.

It's interesting that something from Australia that blooms in February in the Northern hemisphere is called Valentine's day bush. I bet it blooms September in Oz.

Nice selection of plants Noelle! Thanks for featuring my photo of Bulbine. One tough, beautiful plant that also thrives very well here in Northern California gardens too with almost non-stop blooms. One of my favorites to design with!

For the upright myrtle spurge you say to "prune away spent flowers at the base." By the looks of the photo almost every stem is blooming. Does one cut down the whole plant then to the base or just below each flower bloom?
