HAVE: baby gifts: handknit booties,sweaters,bonnets
Comments (0)I thought I corrected that! I have all manner of handknit and crocheted baby gifts in my little shop that I'd love to trade for plants! I love bulb plants the most---lilies,irises that kind of thing! Please email me for the address if you're interested. Or, Google Leslie Anne's Old-fashioned Needlework and find me....See MoreWANTED: handknit baby sweaters, booties, bonnets
Comments (0)I wanted to ask if I'd be allowed to offer up some of my handmade baby gifts in exchange for plants. I tried selling them on ebay but it's too expensive, and my shop on Etsy gets no customers. I have handknit old-fashioned baby sweaters, bonnets, booties and various special needs things I made for some of my pedi patients. (I'm a nurse) Well, I know I can't list the address of my shop, but it's really a lovely little shop so if you'd like the address just email me. I'd love to trade baby stuff for plants or gardening things. Paypal is always nice. I just buy more plants from Ebay with it anyway!...See Moreknit baby sweater button holes???
Comments (2)You can machine buttonholes on any sweater. Get grograin ribbon and sew to inside of both bands (hand sewing) then machine the holes. Hope this helps....See MoreBabies, babies, babies
Comments (7)Have you made Elizabeth Zimmermann's baby surprise jacket? It's the cutest jacket (go to flickr.com or google images and do a search and you'll see all kinds of variations for colors). Pattern was $3-4 at my LYS and it's in some of her books. It can be done in self-striping yarn, with leftovers, etc. Some people add a collar or (my fav) a hood. In case you aren't familiar with it, it's knit all in one piece looking like a blob and then you fold it the right way and seam up the sides and voila! A very cute cardigan! Also, I found the cutest booties, Saartje's baby booties, here's a blog link that includes the pattern link... Saartje's booties I've seen them done with all sorts of yarn and buttons and they're adorable. They would be cute done in the same colors and buttons as the BSJ. Knitty.com has all sorts of cute baby/toddler things, including little animals. It's worth doing a search. Have fun! I'm waiting for someone I know to have a baby so I can get busy on a BSJ but I may have to make one regardless, just because it looks like such a fun knit! :) Here is a link that might be useful: BSJ photo...See MoreAnnie Deighnaugh
