I have developed a pattern to make a doggie sweater out of a hand me down zippered cardigan if you're crafty. That's the Principessa Bellisima modeling hers.

Just had to add to the crate comments. When properly crate trained, dogs should like their crate and see it as their own safe place to go. In the wild, dogs sleep in dens and the crate should provide the same safe feeling for them. Crates should never be used for punishment. Sometimes my girl will choose to sleep in her crate at night instead of in bed with me, so I have to believe she likes it. It also provides a safe place for puppies who might otherwise get into things that could harm them while you're gone. If your dog gets enough attention and exercise they'll look forward to a little quiet time alone where they can rest without worrying about everything else that is going on. Crates are also excellent for potty training because dogs won't potty in their dens! My girl never spends more than 4 hours at a time in her crate so I'm not saying a dog should be crated for 12 hours while you're at work, just that it can be a good thing when used appropriately.

Crates ...why to keep them safe that's why... why do people put babies in cribs...to keep them safe from dangers while you're sleeping - puppies and dogs can get hurt - nobody ever fusses when a kids in a crib and that's just a fancy cage too
