Where is the most unusual place you have read a book?

As I sat here reading NO IDLE HANDS, a story of the history of knitting in America, I came upon this question : "Where is the most unusual place you have knitted?" .

I wondered, dear readers, where was the most unusual place you have read a book?

Considering how I might answer that question I knew immediately what I would say.......

Many years ago while traveling with hubby in France , we had rented a VW.

As we were motoring from Paris to Vence I had my nose in a book and passed those hours reading GREEN DARKNESS by Anya Seton.

The story was that enthralling that I missed the french countryside completely !!

As I think of it now I am disturbed that I allowed myself to miss one moment of that wonderful trip.
