Wanna see Camryn?? (pics)

I had a 3D ultrasound this morning. Here's a few shots from the session. She spent alot of her time pretty curled up by the placenta but we did manage to get a few good shots of her face. She has Grants nose (which is also my nose) and very defined lips from what we could tell, and we were told she has alot of hair, which kinda surprises me. I can't wait to see her now.

She's looking good, measuring right on track and weighs about 3lbs, 10oz right now.

She is precious! Medical science is unbelievable.

I know you are uncomfortable, and you are in my prayers. But we really appreciate you going through all this to give us a little girl baby! Hugs!

Wow! How neat is that?! Ultrasounds have sure come a long way, when I had my kids they were usually only done for high risk pregnancies (at least in military hospitals). can't wait to see her "borned" look!

Janie - We just had frosts Saturday and Sunday nights, so it's still a little too early for warm weather things like corn, beans, sunflowers, pumpkins, squash, etc. June 1 is my usual target date for those - earlier if there is a good weather forecast. I already have peas, onions, and potatoes planted, so I'm kind of between plantings right now. Schoolhouse - Do you know any good patent attorneys that would work for flowers and veggies? TM

Thanks, Bellsmom! I wish I could do that myself. I have MBR pics, but they're espresso maple in a dark bathroom. They're also a neat combination of cabs. :) And everyone for the compliments! I'm really happy with how they're coming out. It might take me forever to paint or stain, but in the meanwhile everything's going in them instead of boxes piled against the wall. I actually find the skinny, 4-drawer drawers useless. That's why I originally ordered 3-drawer. My plan, someday, is to do what I did with the (extra) cabinets in my MBR. I took out two drawers and one set of drawer glides. I cut out the face frame and put in a single deep drawer. Like the big ones on the 3-drawer. Then, I attached the drawer fronts back onto the big drawer so it looks just like it started. Deeper drawer are much more functional than 2.5" deep drawers. Now I can put stuff actually in them. With 18" cabinets, the drawers can only be 15" deep. Need all the space I can!

Diane, like all things - it does pass and this snowfall happens maybe every 20-30 years. Last year there was almost no snow. As for humour...now when I come inside for a coffee break, I'm so sweaty I can actually tear my top off and run around half naked to cool off and no one can see me! They can't even come to the door for the snow piled up - no flyers! no junk in the mailbox! Heaven. The only person who can see me is hubby, who's working and didn't even look up when I ran upstairs for a light top! Now that's what I call love. Nothing but love! He's blinded by it!

Thanks for the many positive comments. Yes, I love my little shed. :) It's 8x12 (tiny) but I think it's just right. We've already had several neighbors ask about it. Ever since I was a kid, I've dreamt of having a little playhouse of my own. This "little mansion" went way over budget but I've assured my husband that when it's time to sell the house, that wee house in back will probably be a major selling point. It even has an attic with a ladder going "upstairs" and operable windows. I like to sit up there and just meditate on life. The deadbolt is an extra-security deadbolt and the little house is connected to the alarm system in our big house. We even had a house-warming party last month to celebrate the completion of our little house!! Here's a picture of the little house my first husband and I built for my two oldest daughter (built from a kit) in the early 1980s. The girls loved it - and so did the neighborhood kids. And now I have one of my own!

In the top left pic, you can see her right eye (our left in the pic) is open. There's a dark spot in the middle that you don't see in the other pic. We saw her blinking, it was neat.

My DD was born with lots of hair which was at her waist by the time she was almost two; very thick and wavy.

Oh my gosh Steph. That's incredible! What a little miracle. She certainly does have yours and Grant's nose. A cute little pug nose it is too. Where did you get yours? Your Mom or Dad?

Oh Steph..she's beautiful!!! Those pictures are just amazing!! I remember the 3D pictures you posted of Grant! Later after he was born you took a picture of him..and it was amazing how much alike the 2 pictures were! Do you still have those?

I was enjoying looking at the pictures, and DH walked in the room. I told him to look at Steph's baby (he knows what "we" went through to get Grant, and then Camryn). He said "She's not very cute--it looks like something is wrong with her." I told him her only problem is that she's still in the womb, and won't be born for two more months.

His first reaction was shock and amazement that there could be such a clear picture of an unborn baby; then he laughed at his original comment...and said she's adorable. It's all in how you look at it.

wanda, your DH's comment made me laugh. That's funny. I'd think she looked a little odd too if it were a real photo!!

I'm older than dirt--not any kind of sonograms when I had mine. I wish I could experience the feeling of seeing my baby in advance. It must have been awesome!!! She sure does have a lot of hair and it looks dark (hard to tell though). What a wonderful invention, that 3-D sonogram.

The dark you see on her head is not hair..it's just just shadowing from outside the sonogram viewing area. The edges are distorted. They actually see the hair on a regular 2D ultrasound, not these 3D ones.

Grant was very nervous about being at the ultrasound. He thought we were at the doctor and he's terrified of doctors offices. He doesn't understand the actual pictures at this point.

She's going to be beautiful,and you can count all her teeny toes before she's born to save time.
Isn't that what us "old" mommys use to do when we had our babies..first thing...count toes...like we were going to send them back if one was missing...LOL

OMG! WOW! I have never seen pictures like this of a baby before birth. Amazing is an understatement. I can only guess how excited you are now. LOL
