I've NEVER in my life seen this much snow over a 2 week period. Remember my last set of photos? Wait until you see today's. Total accumulation for this weekend is 50cm/20".

Oh my gosh!!! You all really got bombarded with it. I hope you don't have to venture out of the house for anything other than feeding the birds for the next few days. Our little few inches of snow we got friday night is just a memory now. There are a few patches of it, but for the most part the warm temperatures we had yesterday melted it. Keep reading those flower and seed catalogs and think spring.

I agree, sitting in the house is VERY boring.I rather be looking at DL's,and you have some more beauties here.I LOVE that Safe Island,and METALLIC BLUE EYES is at the top of the list for beauty. LSL is also very pretty,and I never tire of seeing FLAMINGO PARADE.It says LOOK AT ME..It hasn't started raining here yet today, but it sure turned hot and very humid out.I am loving seeing all your pretties, Keep them coming. Thanks, Bellsmom! I wish I could do that myself. I have MBR pics, but they're espresso maple in a dark bathroom. They're also a neat combination of cabs. :) And everyone for the compliments! I'm really happy with how they're coming out. It might take me forever to paint or stain, but in the meanwhile everything's going in them instead of boxes piled against the wall. I actually find the skinny, 4-drawer drawers useless. That's why I originally ordered 3-drawer. My plan, someday, is to do what I did with the (extra) cabinets in my MBR. I took out two drawers and one set of drawer glides. I cut out the face frame and put in a single deep drawer. Like the big ones on the 3-drawer. Then, I attached the drawer fronts back onto the big drawer so it looks just like it started. Deeper drawer are much more functional than 2.5" deep drawers. Now I can put stuff actually in them. With 18" cabinets, the drawers can only be 15" deep. Need all the space I can!

A couple of antique sconces sounds great for the lr! Do you mean reframing the painting and putting it in the original location you'd bought it for?? I was wondering the same thing, except that maybe it would be too similar to the mirror -- although it's done allll-the-time!! and looks great : ) Probably freakin' everyone out with the humoungous painting over the buffet. Didn't realize just how big this painting is. I think I actually made it a little smaller than rl over the sofa in the virtual. I like it over the buffet though! Unless it feels like it's looming over when you're in there, lol. Have been noticing designers using way over-scale pictures like this, and I reallly like it. Do love the tapestry in there : ) You're welcome!!!

Thanks for some beautiful pictures, Casey. How shiny the one on the right is in the sunlight ... and the top of the one on the left quite gray. And a great contrast with the water. They're a lot like an ice cube in your glass - about 9/10ths under the surface. Slightly less so, as they're riding in salt water, which is slightly more dense. Where the ocean bottom is near the surface, they give it a good scraping as they pass, unless they ground. And as they melt, they can roll over, or a huge chunk break off which could swamp or crush a boat if it were in the way. Or, if a big chunk drops off, the wave can swamp a small boat even a quarter of a mile away, I think. Though, being silent, they provide a contrast to your average female ... ... but they have some things in common with many females ... ... beautiful ... ... unpredictable ... ... can be dangerous. ole joyful

I'm starting to lose my sense of humour over this...the up side to everything is that in 2 months I won't be sitting here - I will be in my yard preparing garden beds, landscaping. Welcome to Ottawa Canada.

Going to have some toast and get dressed. Want to get some shoveling done before my plough guy shows up.

I'm also one house away from public transport so I can hop a bus when I need to get out of here and do a little window shopping or get groceries.

I think today once I get my shoveling done I'm going downstairs to plant some more seeds, then I'm taking my fabric to the bedroom to cut more squares for my quilt project and watch more Palisers.

Still shaking my head and trying NOT to look outside too much. Might even bake an apple pie later...low cal of course!

Diane, like all things - it does pass and this snowfall happens maybe every 20-30 years. Last year there was almost no snow.

As for humour...now when I come inside for a coffee break, I'm so sweaty I can actually tear my top off and run around half naked to cool off and no one can see me! They can't even come to the door for the snow piled up - no flyers! no junk in the mailbox! Heaven. The only person who can see me is hubby, who's working and didn't even look up when I ran upstairs for a light top! Now that's what I call love. Nothing but love! He's blinded by it!

Exactly the same scene out my front window!
On the up side,the sun is shining today here where I am.
I am so.so tired of looking at snow pile up.Thank God spring happens overnight here in southern Ontario,so once it turns mild it will change from winter to spring overnight.
I am SO ready for warmer weather...my fingers are itching to dig in the yard.....and I don't mean with a snow shovel...LOL

We had about 21" land here in Belleville.

There was snow,wind,freezing rain,more snow/wind,then hail,then more snow....for a total of the 21".

Up north of me,in the Bancroft area(where I used to live) there was about 3feet dropped.

At my old house,the snow is just below the clothesline I was told tonite.

Look at it this way ppl..if that had been in the form of rain only,everyone would have had a flooded basement.
