Has snowstorm Jonas hit your neck of the woods yet? Many states have already been affected — Tennessee even got the rare phenomenon of thundersnow. The National Weather Service has issued blizzard warnings into the weekend for the mid-Atlantic region up to southern New England. We’re thinking of everyone affected by the storm warning, which, according to The Weather Channel, is about one-fifth of the U.S. population.

Here’s hoping the weather allows this snow to melt before the next storm. This is a picture of my mother trying to get to the back door of her house in Hingham, Massachusetts, last winter, and the snow accumulation wasn’t nearly done — eventually it completely covered that window on the right.
