The Changling - Movie Review

DH and I and a couple of our friends went to see The Changling today. It was a great movie. Angelina Jolie was perfect for the part. Unbelieveable what this woman had to go through. We all agreed it was the best movie we have seen in a long time.

I agree a great movie. Held my attention all the way thru
the movie. Angelina Jolie was also great. Yes,it did get into the chicken coupe murders.

Ghost Town is a keeper! I told my husband I want to buy that one. And yeah, Lydia my husband even said he thought they were about to start preaching any second now. That's not the bad part though. The acting and script were horrible. And it seemed more like a public service announcement with a bunch of really cheesey lines.

The Mexicans didn't get the cash, they killed Llweyen and ran. Chigur (the freaky guy) went to the hotel and got the money out of the air vent. He know that Llweyen used it as his hiding place because of the last hotel and the scratch marks inside the vent. He used some of the money to pay off the kid for his shirt. I didn't like the ending either. I didn't want to see the movie because of the violence and the "bad" ending, but I have to admit, I am a little haunted by it.

I just watched one last night - "Funny Games" starring (and produced by) Naomi Watts, with co-star Tim Roth and Michael Pitt. Scariest darn movie I ever saw and I don't usually like them because they seem to be dumbed down to me - just a "slice 'em and dice 'em, bag 'em and tag 'em" mode - but this was not your run of the mill horror movie - it came from a different place.

The "Wineville Chicken Coop Murders" took place in what is now called Mira Loma, not far from where I spent my childhood. I am interested in seeing this movie.

The movie trailer where Angelina hits her chest and screams "I want my son back" gets to me every time.

Didn't realize it was not only a true story but a local So. Calif. story as well.
