Help with a teen's feature wall in bedroom

I could really use some help with a feature wall. We're going to paint DD's room soon. She wants a med. blue teal that has a hint of gray. (Sorry, can't find a link to the color.)

Her bedding is:

Her furniture is cream colored. I would like to do some type of wall paper stencil on a wall that has her window seat on it. I also need to incorporate a bit of gray. (To tie in with a shared bathroom).

Since her bedding has a damask print (very bold in black and cream), would it be too obnoxious to do a teal tone-on-tone damask stencil on that wall? Anyone have any other suggestions for patterns or wall treatments? THANKS!

I don't have specific color suggestion. I'd just pull a few you are ok with and then let him choose the specific one from there. I don't think it will look depressing. Dark, yes, but if it's his room, no biggie. That ceiling will seem very short though painted that dark. I'd do baseboards gray or black. If you do a traditional white it's not going to look right. I think it's great of you to let your kid be so expressive.

You can get a headboard the same color as the dresser, and match the night stands with it. And based on the photo below, you can use the grays tones instead of the green. dark gray sheets and lighter gray on the walls, with some decoration in wood style. And do the decorations on the blue that she wants, with pillow, a rug, curtains...

definitely paint the ceiling "feature" same color as ceiling as far as the window treatments, do you close the sheers or do you need something that closes? I would take the curtain rod down if not using and just paint that bump out whatever color you choose now if you want something for privacy etc I would remove sheers and use curtain rod with some pretty curtains you can close

I also think BM Come Sail Away would be a really nice choice for the walls given the bedding, bed frame etc. A jewel tone green on the ceiling might be an interesting and up to date pop of the green she’s is wanting!

Yes, too busy to do a teal on teal damask BUT I would consider a cream tone on tone damask. The stencil could be in a gloss to have it be subtle but noticeable.
