New Years' Eve menu - What's yours?

We will be 6 for cocktails and dinner at our house, followed by dessert at my sister's house around the corner, where she is preparing Osso Bucco for 10 (her guests all take part in the preparation and cooking of the menu).

The entree will be quite rich, so we are not serving anything too heavy beforehand. I am also repeating some favorites from Christmas Eve which was so hectic I couldn't appreciate the food.

Our menu:

Hors d'oeurves

Hot crab dip

Shrimp baked in a batter coating (thank you Trader Joe's)

Small assortment of fine cheeses

First Course

Fresh baked clams (I'll be a-shuckin' tomorrow after I pick them up)

Shrimp salad (boiled shrimp, lemon, olive oil, garlic, salt/pepper) - perfection

main course

Braised short ribs served atop mashed potatoes for the men, and pureed cauliflower for the women.

Roasted carrots and green beans (they take on a wonderful taste when roasted).

We're bringing a fresh fruit salad to my sisters, where there will be much dessert and champagne as we all ring in the New Year together.
