Does your Springform pan leak?

I just bought the Kaiser La Form 9x13" rectangle springform pan. I justified this truely EXPENSIVE pan because I hate getting bars and other things out of regular pans and it had rave reviews on amazon.

On unpacking the box, I noticed that the edge did not fit the base precisely. So I got out my trusty 10" glass bottom FISKO pan and poured a cup of water in. It leaked but very slowly. Tried the same thing in the kaiser and it poured out.

OK, just water, I thought, let me try baking in it.

So 20 minutes ago I popped a pan of Ann's Retro/magic bars in the oven and now I see some of it has leaked out onto the rim.

Is this normal or should I return it for a replacement? If the replacement does the same thing, it will be money back for sure.
