Thanks for all the birthday wishes. We found out on Monday that we couldn't close on the house until Friday, so I spent the day packing. Just got home from a surprise birthday party at one of our neighbors. They got me good. The movers are scheduled for Monday, so I have the entire weekend to start stripping wallpaper. Thanks for all the birthday wishes. I have survived the family birthday party so far. My sister doesn't cook, but brought my favorite corned beef sandwiches from Shapiro's in Indy. Delicious! My sister in law couldn't decide on white or chocolate cake so she brought both. It was really strange being banned from my own kitchen. There were the usual gag gifts for turning 50. My sister was really disappointed when I was glad that she got me an old fashioned hand fan. It will be put to good use, if you know what I mean. I still have another party to get through this evening with some friends that are coming over. They won't let me do any of the cooking either. I am starting to go through cooking withdrawal. Lori I'm rooting for the Pats just for you. But I gotta tell ya I hate watching basketball. Sharon we saw that production here in LA. John Boy is no Peter Fonda, but it was still pretty good! Bessiedawg you go girl Kidney stones are no fun. I watched DH go through a lithotrypsy (sp?). Susie the caregivers forum will help. I'd also recommend seeing if you can get a social worker to help convince her. Good luck. I've told my boys to give me a martini and chocolate when the time comes that I cannot be easily cared for and they can do what they want, I won't fight. Gina everytime I hear you say 'ping pong' I can't help but think of 'Priscilla Queen of the Desert'. I'll shut up now. Shaun I'm sure you'll find a way to make your hubs forget that you didn't get him a bday card. Ahem. Diane I'm tired just reading what you are doing. I'd love to come help you. Woodie enjoy your shows. Did you see Avenue Q yet? We took our boys. Heh heh. Carol, just for you, I sing 'The Internet is for....' (finish that sentence, or look it up on YouTube) Changeling, feel better. Me? Yesterday it was Cotillion with DS #2 - parent/child dance. Awwwww. I tried to get out of it by scheduling his teeth (two of 'em) extraction for that afternoon. It didn't work, he came home, got over it, and said 'get dressed mom, we're going dancing'. Dang (for those who don't know me yet, thats why they call me 'Evil Jessy'). Sent the rest of the family out for dinner. Today I drove DS #1 to take a practice SAT/ACT exam, and we're hanging the rest of the day. Tomorrow is the game! Basketball, right? What do I know.....its all about the food and company. For Lori and Bob, go PATS!

Thanks for all of the birthday wishes. I had jury duty today, so we didn't plan anything special. Luckily, I got out of it a little after noon. I knew as soon as I walked into the courtroom that I wouldn't be able to serve on the jury. It was the same defense attorney that was on the case for the attacking dog owner.

Dinner was take out and we have cheesecake waiting to be devoured.

As for the name change, that happened a few months ago. It was time to move forward.

Sorry Annie, no party hats on the girls, but this one shows they have attitude.
