Share your New Year's Eve Dinner and New Year's Day Meals.......

We broke our tradition of Lobster and Champagne because we just had lobster a week ago.

Went with Prime Rib and Yorkshire pudding instead.

I also maple glazed a couple of carrots

for Moe.

And instead of Champagne we drank a lovely Pinot Noir.

The Prime Rib was just big enough for two thick slices and the roast was presalted Thursday, uncovered to air-dry Friday night and roasted at 500ðF from start to finish. Did not take long to cook. I took it out of the oven when the internal temperature reached 118ðF. and it rested while the Yorkshires finished baking.

We started off today with a big breakfast that should keep us going until dinner. Potato Pancakes, Eggs, Peameal Bacon and toast.

I'm cooking a bone-in ham for dinner. Sides will be my potato gratin, sweet potatoes with caramelized onions and something green. Either Broccoli or Green Beans.
