Have had a 27" 500 series Bosch wall oven for almost three years and have been pleased in all respects. Quiet fan and large oven capacity for the size. The oven light goes off each time the door is closed so it has to be turned back on if you want it to stay on during baking. That is a pain, but not a major issue. I do have to rotate items once for even baking. If you want items to brown, convection must be used. For convection, Bosch says to reduce temp by 25 degrees and that has worked for me. Overall, the oven has the feel of a quality product. Although not metal, knobs still look like new. I think they'll hold up nicely long term. I don't tempt fate by using the self-clean feature. The interior walls seem to clean easily so I'm OK with that. I had planned to special order an easy glide rack, but the standard racks are hefty and glide nicely so have decided to stay with standard. You might search online to see if you can still special order. Compare prices through different vendors. Of course this review does not speak to possible issues with current models. I've known a few people who have had durability problems with KA ovens and would not go with them again. I feel your pain going through that headache of appliance shopping. Good luck.

I am also trying to decide between these two brands but have a few others in the running as well. I was fondling the knobs on them yesterday at TGI and noted these things for you to consider. HTH. Both have ball bearing slide out racks. Bosch has 1, Electrolux has 2. Both offer extra racks as an accessory purchase. Electrolux oven light has "fade" feature similar to dome lights on many new car interiors. The cobalt blue interior is nice, reminds me of enameled camp cookware. It also has hidden controls (they are calling it Wave Touch) which don't appear until you press something. Some people might like the clean look of this but I think it would bug me, at least until I got to know where every button is located on the thing. Bosch features a "fast preheat" button. This might be good as I hear many ovens with hidden elements take way longer to heat up. (I don't know how much faster it actually preheats compared to other ovens; any users got feedback on this?) It also has amber LCD touch controls and features a vent on the bottom (won't be blowing in the user's face). The ball bearing rack seems more cautious about speed of sliding than the Electrolux, but is equally responsive.

We spent quite a while comparing Bosch to Electrolux. The Bosch knobs did not feel good to us, and we found it more awkward to get to the functions we use most. We loved the Electrolux "WaveTouch". Since tastes vary, you really ought to spend some hands on time with both. Even if you can't find somewhere that has them "live", you can at least get a good idea what you think about the Bosch knobs.

We have an Elux Wave Touch single wall oven 3+ years old. (I know you asked about double ovens) It's an okay oven. The two racks roll out very nicely. The timer is plenty loud for us. Things do not brown evenly, although it heats evenly. (I tested it with oven thermometers so it won't do any good to complain to Elux) The electronics cooling fan runs from the minute the oven is engaged, until it cools down. Fan is noisy and blows hot air into the kitchen. Ugh... I guess they all do that, nowadays. Over the holidays, it was run on 425° to 450° for a little over an hour, and the hidden heating element left its mark....the faded outline. I don't know if other ovens will do that after an hour or hour-and-a-half max at high heat, but I am not impressed. Or pleased. Grrrrrrrrr..... It's a bit of a nasty mess in the pic below, but you should have seen it BEFORE I hand-scrubbed it . . . because one does not dare run the self-clean feature in any of these ovens too often for running the risk of killing the computer inside them. Nice thing is the door completely comes off this oven, which made the cleaning a lot easier. I didn't even have to have hubby help me remove it.
