That's the reason those programs may have been installed above.

If you are installing Office 2007 to replace Office 2003, then 2007 generally will allow you to perform an upgrade, and I have yet to have this fail (done many). Be sure your o/s is up-to-date and malware free. On installation select upgrade and respond to the questions. Select "Customize" and then on the pulldowns select "Run all from my computer" or at some point in the future you will be prompted for the media to install whatever is missing.
