Spicy Garden Mix - Crisp with pressure cooker?

I would like to make my own very spicy "garden mix" using cucumbers, hot peppers, carrots, cauliflour, etc. I useually use a pressure cooker for canning, but I tried this last year and they were very mushy. They were good except for the texture. I did not use any pickle crisp or anything like that because it was my first time and I had no idea (obviously) what I was getting into. I've read varying opinions about how to get crisp pickles but I have couldn't really find any that used a pressure cooker. So, onto the question...

Is it possible to get crisp pickles with a pressure cooker if I use pickle crisp? If not, what is the best way?

Does anyone have a good spicy garden mix recipe to go along with it? I have some habinaro's, jalopeno's, and fatali peppers growing, so I should have the hot part covered :)

Thanks in advance for your advice!

Justin
