Another spaghetti sauce question

Someone I know (but dont trust their canning) does a spaghetti sauce and also adds zucchini and yellow squash cut up real fine. She says it adds some flavor and also her family could use the roughage as well as it sorta "bulks" up the sauce. Does anyone have a recipe like this or advice? I plant several squash plants and other than just cooking, I dont really have a recipe to can them. I tried freezing and just didnt care for that at all. I was thinking this would be a good way to can the squash and that it would also stretch a recipe pretty good.
