Darn it- I'll be out of town. I've been wanting to revisit ECHO for a while. Maybe this summer at one of their tours.

Now I'm more confused than ever. The website says June 10 and 11, which is Sunday and Monday, but a lot of things in the events list are listed as Friday only.

Oh my gosh.....I think they are having issues. That link was on the homepage when I copied it and I didn't notice it was 2011. Just go to the ECHO homepage.....the event is on the 9th.

hiya Robin! I want to see the grafting, backyard gardening, fruit trees, and then warm weather gardening. I have been on the farm tour, but we can either go again or do some shopping in the nursery. I am pretty easy. I hope they have some food vendors or I will starve to death! It will also be pretty hot...but I am sure we'll have a blast anyway!

They dont usually have any kind of vendors there. It will be very hot. I wish stuff wasnt spread out so much.

I'm going to do the container and backyard gardening sessions. Can't decide whether I want to do the warm weather gardening or bamboo session at one. I can't wait!

Tina thanks for posting this! I'm going to do my best to get there. We leave Sun a.m. for vacatin but I started packing already so maybe I can sneak away for this event! I'm going to go to the grafting; fruit trees and warm weather gardening. Would be nice to meet you guys if you go!

ECHO was amazing today! The grafting demonstration alone was worth the drive. Laurie, Robin, and I met and went to all the classes. We picked over plants and books and seeds. I bought a cinnamon tree. Then we went out for lunch. Afterwards I went to a local nursery and bought a Double Rangoon, a Joy Perfume tree, and a mystery bush I will post a photo of to get a plant id.

Cathy didn't want to replace the MG with DRC :-( I may just trump her on this one....

I am glad I got the double! I'll watch to see if I get any seeds as that is how it's propogated. Robin almost had me talked into the single to get that wonderful fragrance....but now I have the Joy Perfume tree for scent. OMG I am so excited by that new plant!!! I can't WAIT to get a flower. YAY!

I went, but didn't see a Rays hat. It sure was a neat place. I didn't make it until the 10:30 session. I also left by 12:30. I did not plan well. Next time, I'll wear my hair up and wear walking shoes. I was hot and tired! :)
