Have you tried the post a little further down, called "Best Roses for Hot Weather"? I believe they discuss climbing and non-climbing roses for very hot climates :)

I grow and love the Romantica rose Fredric Mistral. The bush gets very large and full and is in constant bloom. They are pink with the cupped form, large, and beautiful. I think a string of these planted together would make a very nice display.

I'm with jont on Fredric Mistral. Beautiful rose. I find I can't grow it here in south Louisiana unless I'm willing to spray constantly. Very prone to blackspot. But I discovered Belinda's Dream, which has huge pink blooms, constant blooming, no spray. I now have six of these.

Three or four that have done well for me are:
Traviata - it's a Romantica, too medium red, very double, cup shaped. I let mine grow as big as they want about 12'h x6'w. It blooms most of the spring/summer/fall.
I have 3 (2 were rooted from the mother plant), 2 in full sun, 1 in partial shade (it's much smaller but still healthy), so it seems tolerant to varying conditions.
It's only fault is, although BS resistant, it will need to be sprayed, but less so than average, definitely less than most HT's and Abe Darby.

James Galway - it's a David Austin. It is a another monster about the size of Traviata. It's flowers are pompom shaped and pink with a little lavender. so this could work if you want something diferent.
It gets NO disease in my garden, which is pretty amazing for this area. It is THORNLESS. It makes an over all good landscape plant.
It's only fault is, it is not a heavy bloomer. A beautiful spring show, with a few in the fall and not much in between. The first couple yrs it hardy bloomed and I almost sp'ed it.

Heritage - also a DA. good bloomer, disease resistant. semi-double shell pink, almost thornless.

Double Knockout - it's sold as red but for me it sometimes looked like a dark pink, i think it depends on the lighting. It did really well for me, especially for a 1st yr plant.

In the past I would have recommended DA's The Squire, but this wasn't a good year for it, I think the hard winter we had last year almost did it in. I'm hoping it can make a comeback at least to the point aI can take a rooted cutting from it.
dark Red to burguncy, very double, flat, heavy bloomer, all summer. Does get BS, less than AD.

The very best rose I know for a hot situation is the tea rose Le Vesuve. It blooms literally all the time, will grow quite large and be covered in blooms and is very carefree. I have four and they're all blooming now, even though they're very young plants. They'll easily reach 6 feet or more in a short time and are very bushy and dense. I've seen a picture of a Le Vesuve that was about 100 years old and it was the size of a pick-up truck and stupendous-looking.
