Not much help but I would send all except Talladega (the bloom has blemishes).
You have some great pics and any one of them would do well with the theme he is putting together.

All really beautiful so it is difficult to choose but I vote for AUTUMN WOOD and LILTING BELLE.

I'd send 'Autumn Wood' and 'Eggplant Escapade,' and maybe 'Lord of Rings' too. Very hard to choose from such lovely choices!

Jan, I know what you're going through. I narrowed mine down to 6 possibilities and then told my husband to pick his favorite 2 photographs. He chose Whooperee and Orchid Corsage.

From your group I'd pick SHERRY LANE CARR (what a beauty) and FRUIT LOOPS (because it's so unusual). Good luck deciding!

Definitely Fruit Loops! Beautiful, unusual & great picture! Not sure how many people are contributing so if he gets duplicates...

I'm having a hard time with the 2nd. Great pic of Lord of Rings & Indian Ripple but will have to say Pink On Ivory for it's uniqueness as well.

I would go with Chang Dynasty and Lord of Rings.

So far, the most votes have been for Autumn Wood and Lord Of Rings, but, it has been pointed out to me that the photo of LOR is not aligned well. I have another photo of the same two blooms taken at a different angle which might be better. What do ya'll think of it as compared to the one above?

Jan......they are flowers......not sky scrapers......I like the alignment of your pic...the over lapping petals and layering of sepals....the layout is what grabbed my attention....course i'm no photo pro....but I know what I like.....:) go with your gut....that is what made your gardens gorgeous...to begin with...:)

Let me throw another photo into the mix!! :) I have to say that I love Chang Dynasty but I don't like the way that lower sepal sticks out on the above photo. I have learned that is called "tongueing", which fits, doesn't it? Anyway, here's a photo of another bloom on CD taken today also. What do ya'll think of it? Better than the first one?

I love them all, but I'd vote for Indian Ripple and Sherry Lane Carr.

Apparently Floota's info was very illuminating. I wish she would ahare these photo tips with all of us. I think the second photo of Lord of Rings is a better presentation of the blooms, but the color is more vibrant in the first photo. I love the last photo of Change Dynasty! The color is yummy, and the sepals are all rolled back and behaving.

I think most of us are choosing our favorite lily, not the best photo of a lily. It helps to know the purpose of the photo too. All of your photos are gorgeous representations of the flowers, which makes it hard to choose.

On photographic criteria alone, I would not choose a photo with a name tag in it, but perhaps I'm weird. I also look at the background. My favorite photo here is the first Chang Dynasty and second is Sherry Lane Carr. But I have no idea how to judge a photo, so take it with a grain of salt!

Fruit Loops is just delicious. So is Autumn Wood. Now I see what all the hoopla is about with this daylily.

Just so you know, I have copies of these photos without names or watermarks on them. I would not send Charles a photo that was marked in this manner. I only mark my photos I put here so that they can't be "snatched" for use by someone without my permission.

As far as photo composition goes, I really like Indian Ripples and Sherry Lane Carr. The flowers pop against the background, nicely focused, flowers are mid-frame with no distactions. The second photo of LOR is more appeasing to my aestetic too. Your photos are always lovely, but those are the few that stand out to me.

I'd choose "In Style" and "Lord of Rings".
