What I've learned...

I've been doing a lot of reading on this forum and have learned a few things. Let me see if I have this right.

After reseeding my fescue this fall, I need to:

Use cornmeal at a rate of 20#/1,000 sq. ft. once a month starting in April.

After the germination period, only water my grass when it needs it :)

Apply pre-emergents after grass is tall enough to mow a couple of times

Only fertilize in the cooler months

Apply Nitrogen at a rate of 2-4# per 1,000 sq. ft. per year

Keep my grass mowed at about 3"

If I do these things I can HOPEFULLY avoid the fungal/brown-patch problems I had this year. However, I need to realize my fescue is NOT going to be as pretty as Auteck's KBG or even the zoysia in my sunny front yard during the summer months, no matter how much I baby it, because I live in Oklahoma and it's hotter than hades.

Do I have it right? Any corrections, suggestions, etc. would be greatly appreciated. Sorry for not thoroughly reading previous posts before posting my last question - I can see the fescue/fungus issue is a common topic.

One more question though...

Does anyone know anything about SummerLawn Plus? I couldn't find anything on the forum and cannot find any reviews on-line. Here's the link:

Thanks again for your help!!
