This was a lovely home that just needed some updating. The kitchen footprint was not changed except that we replaced the small prep island with a larger, more functional island with storage and seating (island base was custom stained to match the new furniture in the breakfast area). Off-white leather Parsons chairs (seen in photos with custom slipcovers) connect with the four off white armchairs in the adjacent living room. The biggest change in the living room is the new fireplace stacked stone (which replaced the dated Mediterranean plaster). The dining room chairs were reupholstered in two different fabrics and artwork, rug, custom draperies and decorative accents pull it altogether. In our client's home office, we reconfigured the room to allow for two comfy leather chairs and functional built-ins. The custom cow hide rug, striking ceiling fixture and custom draperies complete the space. The master bedroom was completely redecorated to create a more restful and elegant retreat. The master bathroom was completely renovated and the wall enclosing the shower was lowered to allow more natural light. A free standing sculptural tub in front of the beautiful windows and polished nickel hardware throughout make this anybody's dream bathroom!
