Hudson Residence II - Dining and Living Room

This living room is part of an extensive main floor renovation project in which the wall was removed to the adjacent dining room to create better sight lines, increase natural light and afford water views throughout the space. The entire fireplace wall was redone with custom cabinetry and the same glass mosaic tile used as the border in the vestibule floor was used as a surround. A flat screen television was mounted above the fireplace.

The archway to the right of the fireplace was relocated to allow for symmetrical built-in fireplace cabinetry (and we added French doors to separate the adjacent sun room). An under utilized window space is now a functional second seating area and the signature fabric upholstered chairs (Robert Allen "Dwell" fabric) actually swivel so that they can be turned to join either seating area (sectional or window seating).

Dining room walls were removed (between kitchen and living room) to create a more spacious feel and allow better sight lines (and water views!). The beautiful new table and custom upholstered chairs in the project's signature fabric were oriented the other way and this room is the first thing you see upon entering the home.
