Bathroom Styling?

Should we repaint the color of this bathroom, or can we make it work? That picture is not working with us so it will be gone but we have that whole blank wall. What can we put there to fill the space? Towel Rack? We tried two pictures but it looked off.

This is a powder room/half bath?

Why not a wallpaper or something more interesting?

The art is too small....and nobody can advise a color, other than that is just a whole lot .......blah.

What is in the hallway? What other colors in your home? Post a few inspo's of some powder rooms you love...."

The light above your faucet style could use a change to something more updated?

We have no clue as to what might please....inspo please? Or a few pictures of other rooms in your home, Something........

I need to purchase Moen bathroom fixtures.. sink faucets (2 for each bath), a Roman tub fixture, single shower fixture & a tub/shower fixture. @Jan Moyer Ha! So not building. Just closed on the house, and making final choices so we can get started with our GC on time. :) I'm 4 months pregnant with our 4th. I've been in the tub 2x this week. ;) I promise we are using the tub even with our busy lives (and we are in a TINY rental at the moment). We aren't doing the storage over the toilet for sure. I think it's a bit tacky, for my tastes anyway! :) When you say cement look, you mean the accent tile with the design? (Just verifying as I'm new to all the design lingo -- sorry!) I'd love to show you the whole house, but I don't have the "floor plan" -- -just some pics of the inside and a kitchen design plan! :) We are knocking out a lot of walls to open it all up. The front living room has a half cathedral ceiling to which we are adding some beams for interest because the ceiling is uninteresting and in need of character. Everything is getting a facelift. Once the "major" projects are done (master bath, kitchen, and guest bath)... we will be adding in some built in shelves as well. @Beth whoa! Thank you for all the idea photos! I like the idea of the wall mounted faucets. I want to try to find some with with a single mount (if that even exists) for easy cleaning/wiping. My other dilemma is that I know farmhouse is very trendy, but I don't want to "overdo" the farmhouse look because it IS a trend. I want it to be able to be "switched" down the road if needed. Don't get me started on paint to choose for the bathroom.... Bahahahaha! @Diana Bier rectified tiles --- is there an easy way to tell this? I looked online for some examples, and didn't see anything with that name. Even in the description. Perhaps it's an easy thing to see. Thank you so much (to all of you!) for your time and help. I so appreciate it. (I can't wait to start it)

I would try moving the tub and vanity and put the tub across the back wall where the vanity is now and then the vanity could go where the tub is. BTW acrylic tubs are awesome , easy to manouver into reno spaces and so simple to keep clean.

Any of these images inspire you? It would help if you could give us more insight to your style overall, colors you love, anything to help hone in on look for this high potential room. I did this in our last home. I used BM Van Deusen Blue on wall behind pedestal sink. Looked crisp and beautiful for low cost improvement.

Honestly???? We can guess forever so we need info or you can just google bathroom design and make yourself crazy. Yes you have a boring bathroom but what do you want it to be?

Wallpaper or a striking paint color will dress up any small powder room. @Flo Mangan gave you a great visual from her previous house.

You can install wainscoting and put one color below and wallpaper above to make the room more interesting. Here are some ideas.

With white fixtures and black faucets, etc. there are so many possibilities. My powder room is similar. I painted it a medium blue and got a pair of colorful prints for the wall you're asking about. The one you have over the toilet now is hung too high or too small. Something taller would look better. Wallpaper is used a lot in powder rooms, but DH had to remove a lot of wallpaper in our previous house, so he wasn't up for installing more here. As you can see from the other comments, green also would work. What colors have you used in the other rooms near this room? I have blue elsewhere which is what led me to blue in the PR. But I don't have a ton of blue so it's not too much.

Megan - what is the floor color? Is it tile or wood or vinyl? Hard to see that.

Any color you love can be used in a powder room. One color on all four walls usually makes a small room feel cozy.
