What would you do? Dining Room Dilemma

My builder put my dining room window in the wrong spot, which also means the dining room light is in the wrong spot. They are aligned with each other but not centered between the walls, which means I don't have sufficient space on one side of the table (it's too tight when people are sitting there). Right now I have only 26" between the table and the sideboard (and the sideboard is staying, as it was a custom finished piece that I paid too much money for).

I can move the table over but then the fixture isn't centered. Not sure if I can move the fixture, but then neither the fixture nor the table will be centered with the window.

I will gain about 6" if I move stuff over. It's not the full 3' recommended but it's better than what I have now.

I can't believe I didn't catch this during the build as I already knew the space wasn't as big as I would have wanted it had I been able to change it. GRRR.
