Phalaenopsis Orchids how do I create new plant from 1 I have?
Comments (1)I have just posted a photo story of how I did this in the Phalaenopsis section of the UK orchid forum. www.ukorchidforum.com I did it as the plant was getting too tall and was top heavy in the pot. This may help....See MoreHow do I creat a system restore date?
Comments (11)well you do need to be updating your IE to IE 7 at least very soon because support for 6 is ending or has already ended and you will be with out security updates for it so that is critical. I would remove aol then try to re-install it if you just insist on having it, I try to steer people off of aol because it is such a problem child and it really is not needed. as zep said we need more info on exactly what is happening when it is happening and what error messages you are getting....See MoreHow Do I Create A Formal Garden Out Of This Space?
Comments (10)I'll get right back to you as soon as I can suppress my envy and jealousy, lol. Seriously, what a wonderful opportunity you have. I have a few questions, though. How much sun does the area receive? Are the openings in the wall directly opposite each other and are they exactly in the center of the walls? Have you done any digging to see if the way is clear to plant, or might there be old stone flooring under a few inches of soil? What plants are already growing there? Do you have any ideas of the plant palette you prefer? Roses only? Mixed perennials? What kind of budget do you have in mind, and how much work can you do yourself, or can you afford to hire labor? I already have a solid idea of what *I* would do there, depending on the answers to some of my questions. But you have a wonderful backdrop and canvas for a classic garden, and I DO envy you. Comments (36)I don't get this house. Besides all that has been mentioned above...The front door (the main door to the house) dumps you (and visitors) into the dining room. If that were a formal dining room, seldom used, it would be odd and awkward, but it is the ONLY dining area in the house. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, kids studying, dropping book bags, school projects--all as the first thing everyone sees when they walk in. There's no place there that can stay a bit messy (like a breakfast nook). As I look at other spaces and see huge usability and interoperability issues, I think that this is, once again, a house that no one has given thought to how people live. The rooms exist like pieces in a Tetris game, not as a unified whole. Who puts a toilet next to a bed head? Who gives prime exterior wall space to a closet? Who puts the tub and the crapper in the same room ("Sorry, honey, I'm in the tub. Use another toilet.")? Why split that room into two that way? Who designs a media room with no closable door (and a bedroom right above, with no closet)? The only--only--thing that makes sense is the location of the powder room--away from the beaten path yet handy and discreet. But with a pointless pocket door. There are so many violations of Architecture 101, it amazes me....See Morenelliebean
