Comments (12)I used the shower for the first time last night, and am SO pleased! The shower door was dear but worth it -- no leakage, and it felt so spacious while in there. The Whisperwarm fan is wonderful -- stepping out of the shower into a cone of warm air was just luscious. In retrospect, the corner shelves could've been bigger, or I should've added another -- I like to keep lots of shampoo bottles around and now I'll have to choose ;). Towel warmer and heated floor worked wonderfully too -- can you tell I'm a heat-whore? As I've gotten older, I've become more and more addicted to warmth. Squeegeeing the shower took less than a minute, and it looks great! Only design decision still pending is whether to do a curtain over the window. Comments (15)Jamies - oh yes, we did get a new toilet! The Toto Ultramax. Which my DH has managed to clog once (shh, he'll kill me if he knows I'm posting that in public!!). But only the one time...so far...And unfortunately, the Toto's don't respond well to basic plungers b/c of their shape or something. I've found recs for ball shaped plungers that apparently work better so I need to get one of those! Oh, and for anyone interested, my paint color is Behr Roasted Garlic and it is a great shade of green/beige. It's constantly changing color based on the lighting and I like all the various shades!...See MoreMaster Bath finally finished.
Comments (38)Hi flyleft, I am very pleased with the Danze Parma. The Roman tub faucets and shower controls have a smooth solid feel when they are operated. I also have the TP hanger and towel hangers. Those all are doing fine too. My wife saw the Porcher lav faucet on a display with the oval sink at HD Expo and fell in love with it, so I splurged and bought those $$$ Porchers instead. Otherwise I had planned to use the Danze Parma there too. I did substitute another brand sink that was almost identical but much less expensive than the one HD Expo used. The sink is entirely on top of the counter. The Porcher is a really nice faucet although it is a little hard to turn off when your hands are wet. The control is a bit small and the smooth chrome is slippery. I do like that I can operate the control while my hands are still under the faucet and dripping into the sink instead of on top of the faucet....See MoreFinished Master Bath
Comments (23)The glass shower is super solid, but honestly...it's so heavy I do wonder a bit. But they're so prevalent, I have to imagine that they're stable. My contractor, who had never heard of starfire, definitely said he noticed a difference in the color of the glass. (But he raised his eyebrows of the cost, which was significantly more. Unfortunately, I saw that look from him a lot.) As for color - I couldn't even get DH to agree to colored towels - I thought I was bad! No way are we going to add color to the walls, but we'll be adding plants, art, and other things to add color. I kind of disagree that the color of the cabinets would be brought out by a darker wall, that seems counterintuitive to me. I love white walls with other things in the room providing the color. Like a giant wall of navy blue tile, perhaps? ;-) But I'm grateful for the comment that it's pretty even if it's not your style, I know this is very taste-specific. Not to mention ridiculously owner-specific, the higher sink is 40" high for my very tall DH. Thank you all for the lovely comments, makes me happy to hear that it's nice, especially from this crowd. I think the rooms I see on these boards are so much nicer and better designed than what I see in most shelter mags......See MoreSueb20
