Nursery part 2. Found a color, now it doesnt match my bedding!
Comments (7)Thanks everyone. I think I will try to figure out a way to live with it. I love both the color and the bedding, so i don't want to change either. It is a really good point that the crib bedding gets outgrown pretty quickly anyway. I hadn't even thought of plants! What a great idea, thank you. The rest of my home is overflowing with houseplants, so I can easily relocate one or two in here :) Like I said, I probably have a while before our little one comes home, but I am having fun planning his/her room. I will need curtains, and plan to make my own. What do you think? Green? Does anyone have any favorite fabric websites? I also need a mobile for the crib, probably something nature/bird/tree themed. Oh and a light switch cover. I am thinking about putting up some photographs of birds whimsical nature prints and framing them. Any other ideas to tie the room together? I think I need to paint the ceiling also, since it seems to be a brown color. Should I do white?...See MoreMatching bedding to my curtains
Comments (16)Hopefully (since you said originally) you moved somewhere warmer :) it's freezing here! I would do olive and add maybe and something lighter purple than the eggplant. I would add texture with one of the pillows being something like faux fur and another pillow with a pattern for interest. Here are some sample pillows and color palette ideas. I usually just do two to three throw pillows so it's not pillow overload but that's up to you of course....See MoreWhat bedding would you match with this pillow?
Comments (37)For what its worth, I think the whole room would be great with a change to upholstered bed, lighter....say oatmeal linen, and a change of paint to a deep navy. jmho : ) The wall color is what makes the walls "plain". Much better w/o three mirrors. And the single would jump from a deeper color. The mirror has no contrast with wall. That doesn't mean more of them solves that issue....See MoreBedding/rug match emergency!!
Comments (6)I’d go with a natural washed Belgian linen duvet cover and shams. Check sales at Restoration Hardware and Pottery Barn. Then add bohemian pillows, a chunky woven throw, and accessories in the fabulous colors of your rug! What a find!...See MoreRelated Professionals
