SW pure white vs SW extra white
Comments (51)Amy Sivley, we had our cabinets painted Snowbound with extra white on all the trim. They look like the same color. Its a very stark white. in certain lights the snowbound has a pink hue & the extra white has a blue hue. way to bright for me but I’m stuck with it we did Pure white on our ceilings & love it. I wish i would have picked something that doesnt blind me when I walk in the kitchen. all our trim throughout the house is bright white & Im trying to pick a white for the walls & having trouble.we did Cedar Key in a few rooms & that looks great but I want to try white....See MoreHas anyone used SW Alabaster trim with SW Natural Choice walls?
Comments (6)We used SW Natural Choice on walls, and BM Cloud White on trim (a warm white) but use what you love or paint a small area and see what you think. In our house the natural choice leans very slightly green.....we used 2/3 strength in the rest of the house, except for the dining room.....we live in high desert and low humidity....which can affect how colors look! Here is 2/3 strength of natural choice with cloud white trim Here is full strength natural choice with cloud white trim....See MoreWhite wall paint for SW extra white cabinets

Comments (11)The SW base without tint is Extra White SW 7008. Some painters have an extra shot of white colorant shot into the can. I've seen it. I've measured it and I don't see a difference VISUALLY. However, some painters believe it helps with hide. Because Extra White may need more than two coats. If they want to do an extra shot of white and can keep it consistent can to can, I'm fine with that. Ben Moore's base without tint is White OC-151. It's very pretty too. I believe (don't quote me) High Reflective White is ALSO an untinted base color which is why it's only available in specific bases. I don't know for sure because I never use it. I read that Extra White looks best with cool colors and doesn't pair well with warm woods. 🙄 I specify Extra White a lot. This is a ridiculous statement....See MoreLindsay K
