I feel bad when someone posts and no one sees it until months later--it looks like we were ignoring you. My sister's house is perwinkle blue--I think your house would look great that color.

The brick appears to be hand made of natural clay. It has a nicely varied organic look, coloring and texture. Painting will hide the variation and will also require periodic repainting. Real brick is costly and coveted for its natural appearance and because it does not need painting and is low maintenance. It is an intact focal point for your mid century house. Painting it might give it a 'fresh up to date look' for a short while. But right now it looks good already, it is classic and is authentic for your period home. If necessary you can have it properly cleaned and repointed to keep it intact and make it look fresh again.

Do you have current photos of the house front? Warmer, brighter paint colors would look better than the current duller grayed colors. Remove the obscuring shrubs if you want to show the house to best effect. Replace with much shorter perennials. You could choose formal beds with a few coordinating colors or informal beds with a wider range of lively colors.

Browns and beiges are devlishly difficult to do well. And even harder for us who are interpreting these colours on our screens. On my screen your roof is not at all orange-brown. I took a shot of it your roof, enlarged it and this is what I see. A pinkish brown that is pretty close to the rosy brown shown below it. The darker colours are a burgundy brown or wine brown. The blue beside it is the complementary colour to pinkish brown - opposite on the colour wheel. On my screen and to my eye, this looks better than an orange door. Even the bit of orange on the pavement at the bottom of your picture seems to clash with the roof. Whatever you choose, I'd paint some big sample boards and look at it in different lights before you pick up the paint brush.
