Could you back up and give us a wider view so we can see a bit of the house plus the garage door?

My first thought is not to paint the trim different from the house, letting the door itself shine. Unless, of course, the house color is a poor fit against the natural wood door.

Would suggest you paint the grage door and all parts of the trim the same color white.

The trim should be the trim color (white). I would paint the handrails and spindles white too

White garage door trim will serve to separate the gray house from the brown door (non-complementary colors).

I agree, all trim white. Stained garage door. I wouldnt mind the porch floor, and hand rails, etc different, if they had been stained the same as the garage door. Since they arent, and its a huge job to strip them all, then, I would try to match the door stain with a solid color stain for the porch floor and steps, and paint the trim and hand rails etc white.

Can we safely assume you’ll be changing out the side lights to match?

Larger would be better.
